Rolls-Royce Automobilmuseum Franz Ferdinand Vonier

Center of the largest collection of royal Rolls-Royce in the world

The Rolls-Royce Automobile Museum at Gütle 11a in the town of Dornbirn specializes in commemorating the glorious times of this world-renowned automobile brandname, when each and every vehicle was a unique, hand-made product. In 1968 Franz Vonier, born in the Montafon region, and his wife Hilde established a Rolls-Royce repair workshop and began building up a collection of automobiles dating from the years 1923 to 1939. In 1999 the Vonier family opened up this collection to the public in its museum in Gütle.

On three stories of an historic industrial production facility around 60 original Rolls-Royce vehicles can be viewed, along with hundreds of automobile parts, components, and accessories. Some of these automobiles are roadworthy, used on loan for special events and excursions. In an onsite restoration workshop the visitor can obtain firsthand a wealth of information on the – partly forgotten – traditional craftsmanship behind the production of hand-made automobiles.
